Bewick’s Wren
Plumage/Description: Males and females are similar in plumage.
Black Phoebe
Plumage/Description: Male and female plumage similar.
Black-chinned Hummingbird
Plumage/Description: Males have a green back and a dark looking head and throat.
Black-headed Grosbeak
Plumage/Description: Males and females have a large conical shaped beak for seed cracking.
Black-throated Gray Warbler
Plumage/Description: Bold black and white facial pattern with just a touch of yellow in the ‘lores’ area of the face, between the eye and beak.
Blue Grosbeak
Plumage/Description: Adult males are a stunning deep blue color, in poor lighting they almost appear black.
Brewer’s Sparrow
Plumage/Description: Male and female plumage similar. Breeding plumage is more crisp and defined, non-breeding plumage is paler and muted.
Bridled Titmouse
Plumage/Description: They have a striking black and white facial pattern, with a small black bib, and a pronounced crest, separating it from chickadees which lack a crest.
Broad-tailed Hummingbird
Plumage/Description: Males have a green head and an all green back and a brilliant red throat along with a white breast, and green flanks.
